Our first big snowfall in Portland brought 12″ of snow, along with sledding kids, sliding cars (yikes!) on the hill near us, and the discovery that Portland is very much a pub crawl town.

The week before we left Canada, there was a fun Irish festival near home, and we got this video of a few traditional Irish dancers in Byward Market. Clack clack clack. Such a happy, happy sound. Unless you’re the cynical sort.

Stones came to town the other night, and we availed ourselves to a couple of tickets outside the stadium. Paid about what it costs to fill a Hummer these days, but lordy was it worth it.
